A troublesome creatures is plaguing a farmstead and it's Frieda's job to hunt it down.

Written with attention to detail, somethingwitty141 introduces the Water Leaper as a creature that could indeed exist in our world.  A great example of a battle scene with fantasy beastie done well.

A Tale of Gods and Wizards - Chapter Seven by baptisttexan

Aliisa, Cabe, and August make it to Rossil—only to run intro trouble at a local hostel.

Fans of fantasy stories will love this latest chapter of 'A Tale of Gods and Wizards' following Aliisa and Cabe, a pair of escaped slaves in the company of August, a Wizard with a very liberal view on the world.  Great character interaction and world-building bring this story together in a casual and enjoyable read. We look forward to seeing what happens to these three!

I write not by willyamPax

Reasons we write

An explanation of why.  This short poem is well written and has a succinct form with some beautiful language, not only expressing why willyamPax writes, but why many of us seek to find in writing

Group News

We're looking for Poetry writers and Foreign Lit writers to help with Round-up suggestions!

You don't have to sign up to be an admin for the group - all you have to do is suggest poetry or foreign lit from the group which you believe deserved to be in our next round-up.
Pieces don't have to have been submitted recently - a short reason why would also help.
The reasons for this are because I'm no expert in poetry, and am not fluent enough in any other language aside from English to be able to select pieces from the foreign lit folder which may be falling under the radar despite being worthy of merit.

If you have suggestions, please note the group

In Cold Blood

Thank you to MissAddledMiss for the recommendation and review.

On November 15, 1959, in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas, four members of the Clutter family were savagely murdered by blasts from a shotgun held a few inches from their faces. There was no apparent motive for the crime, and there were almost no clues.

Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood is a masterful journalistic account of the 1959 Clutter family murders in Holcomb, Kansas.
Capote's thorough investigation of the crime and the search for the perpetrators brings to life the voices of the past with a rounded view of all the major players involved.  The book makes for a truly engaging read as it effortlessly blends fact and narrative.
Despite muddying the waters slightly, this non-fiction novel encourages the reader to actively consider truth and conjecture, while otherwise remaining one of the more comprehensive and accurate accounts of the case.

Have you read a great book recently? Drop us a note and we'll recommend it in the next Round-up.
