Another new week, another new feature for WritersInk! Beyond this week's Roundup is an interview with our lovely Writer of the Month, juniorel. We've also got news this week of a way to get :points: for your writing, thanks to our latest affiliate!

This Week's Highlights

:star: Trial at Nuremberg by :icondorianharper:

The war is over, but there is still work to be done in the aftermath of the Nazi occupation of Europe. In the courtroom, Supreme Court Justice Jackson comes across the complex and emotional case of Diedrich Himmelreich.

This Daily Deviation winner tells a wonderful story, tackling a difficult historical era with grace, dignity and authenticity. It delves into the atrocities commited in the concentration camp in an analysis of what drives an otherwise conscientious young man to do unspeakable things. But this morality tale isn't quite as simple as it first seems. DorianHarper has produced a well constructed and respectful piece which deserves all the praise it's receiving.

:star: Of Oceans and Children by :iconklaxonlithology:

A poem about repetition, madness and (possibly) throwing children into the ocean.

One of the beauties of poetry is its many varied interpretations. This powerful piece plays with a number of themes - check the comment threads to read what how different folks have interpreted KlaxonLithology's work.  While you're at it, why not leave a comment to let the author know your own thoughts?

:star: The Fall by :iconfantasieautor:

A fall, a landing, a dying prayer and a dignified farewell.

In four paragraphs, this very short story covers several aspects of death that would naturally come to the mind of someone about to experience it: I can't breathe; does anyone truly love me?; will they miss me; etc.  It's very good read for the length, containing a twist that will almost certainly encourage a second reading.

:star: ill by :iconstoriesofsilence:

A not-love poem.

This is another poem which is wide open to interpretation. It's a simple piece of free poetry with themes of love, anticipation and (just maybe) abandonment.

Writer of the Month - Interview!

In a brand new addition to Writer of the Month, we'll be giving each of our featured writers a short interview. We think it will give the writer a chance to tell their side of the story; as well as bringing a little more well-deserved publicity to them.

You can find the interview with juniorel, October's Writer of the Month :earth:here. Please support the group, the feature and (above all!) the writer by clicking on the + button at the top of the article. Thanks

Community News: Writing for Points

Our latest affiliate, :iconliteratureforpoints:, is a new group with a very interesting focus. They're a group which organises commissioned writing. Whether you'd like the opportunity to earn some points; or whether you'd like to commission another writer to help with a project - it's something to be aware of.

If you're interested in helping out the group, or have any questions, send us a note! We love to hear from our members.
