Celebrating the Deviants who make an outstanding contribution to our community.

Every month we proudly feature a member of our group who has helped support our writers. These valuable members are highly active in the community, reading and discussing other member's work.

This month's featured writer:
:icondisrhythmic:
:new: We conducted a small interview with disrhythmic, which you can read here!

Picking the Writer of the Month is never an easy task. But as January's feature took a different approach, we've basically had to pick this month's featured writer from two month's worth of community activity: a daunting task. While those months have seen a quiet patch around Christmas, they represent some of the highest activity that the group has seen. Several members have stood out as wonderful contributors.

Throughout arguably our busiest period, disrhythmic has always been at the forefront of our minds. She's a consistently active deviant who not only tunes into our regular roundups, but also gets through a lot of word-miles in the gallery, too. The WritersInk admins can rest a little easier knowing that there are people like disrhythmic out there, giving encouragement and love to our members and making this group a really great plae to be.

So here's our chance (and yours!) to say thank you to Dizzy for all her contributions so far and give a little love back. She's earned the right to get a little attention from the community.

One thing we will say for disrhythmic is that she's a fantastic prose writer. The highlights we've selected below have won various honours and stand out for different reasons. But they're all united by a clean writing style and natural storytelling ability. From the cutely romantic to the weirdly sadist - disrhythmic can hook you in to just about any story, and that's a wonderful ability for a writer to have.

Can't be bothered with all that reading? It just so happens that disrhythmic has other skills - she's an origami ninja!

Go ahead and check out her gallery - you won't be disappointed!

Chasing Jellyfish

Some stories just pull you in. There's always a reason, but when you're not aware of what it is, the effect is magical, hypnotic, entrancing.

Chasing Jellyfish is a story about two people trying to find inspiration - and it's just impossible to put down. The writing is fluid and elegant, with occasional flashes of beauty. It's perfectly paced, too, sparing detail for the important moments and allowing nothing to interrupt the smooth unraveling of the story.

The Weekend

This wonderful little story manages to be romantic, without being explicit. We featured it in our Weekly Roundup back in November, and from there it's gone on to win a Daily Deviation - and well deserved, too! It's a short and hugely rewarding read.

Rag Doll

We've featured two sweet stories from this talented author, but there's more to disrhythmic than happy-ever-afters. This piece is short and snappy, and shows off a far darker side to her writing.

WOW, that origami is amazing. I'm floored that people can be epically awesome at more than one thing. Congratulations *disrhythmic ! This is extremely well-deserved
