Every month, we collect and feature some of the outstanding submissions to our gallery.

Each item is hand-picked by our admins, and presented with a small introduction to make browsing easier. Here we offer you a selection of interesting, quality work for your appreciation and encouragement.

It's been quite a productive few weeks since our last Round-up, and we have a nice variation for you to browse, from astronauts in space to writers destroying their creations.

But first, we have another addition to our wonderful admin team!

This Round-up's Features

:star:

the witch's house. by hedonophobe

"I want to be the call of the morning and the kiss of the night"

A beautiful poem that masters the use of playful, colourful imagery. A creative tale of the lonely, longing witch who desires a happy fairy tale.

Sunrise for the Astronaut by DarkStar016

"From space, he knew why Earth was called the blue planet."

Short yet beautiful in its loneliness, the briefness of this piece is conveys the void of space and an astronaut's view of earth

Final Duel of Post Haven by Regal-Pinion

"No way to tell who broke the minute hand / Forever never noon through out the land"

A wonderful example of poetry with narrative.  The story flows smoothly the through consequences of one simple (or perhaps, not so clean-cut) act, bringing about the downfall of a town that stood still on a single moment.

Temperance in the Reversed by stormsinmidsummer

A tale about time, a car, and events that came so close to happening, but didn't

A great story linking characters and events to one point in history and unravelling a tale connecting them.  The fact that this is a story about a story which never had the chance to happen, is an interesting read with the bonus of having a supernatural turn.

Undiscovered Gems
Introducing our newest feature, presented and selected by the wonderful aquagirl7 to showcase a few undiscovered treasures you should really read.

The Writing Process by BlizzardBlitzer

A tale about the bond between a creator and the worlds he writes

BlizzardBlitzer writes a fantastic short story of writer versus creation.  A beautiful illustration of the struggle of character and creator that explores the impact and cruelty that goes into world building, plot, and character development.

Her Name is Mary by GDeyke

When a woman enters the antique shop, requesting a repair, it's clear there's more than curses and enchantments robbing her of her reflection.

A short, but interesting story, that will hook you from the first sentence and keep you reading as the antique mystery slowly unravels. The subtle reveal of the story's plot twist was as refreshing as the unique plot GDeyke offers.
